I have no interest in seeing the A's trade Nick Kurtz. However, the A's have Needs and if the Reds are willing to Overpay to meet those needs then a conversation can be had. A's Need #1: An established SP. A's Need #2: Another option at 3B. A's Need #3: A bat to replace Kurtz (if traded). It would be ideal if the 3B could be the bat replacement but that's not in the cards here; I think Stewart can Hit but he's not going to stick at the hot corner. The Mets could have interest in Collier as a long-term thumper at 1B while Mauricio is currently behind Marcus Semien and Brett Baty on the starting depth chart. Adding Wenninger might be a reach but Stearns has young arms and may want the extra Draft pool money.
