Preller has never hesitated to add another team into the mix and he's made a couple deals with the A's in recent seasons. The trade clears $27.5 MM off the Padres' payroll while adding 3 controllable players to the roster. The A's "buy" themselves a Closer with Estrada by making Cronenworth their starting 2B. Will the Mets part with Sproat for a pair of rental vets?
