Alt #1: The Padres are saving $16+ MM in payroll while adding 2 MLB-experienced SP and a potential replacement for Laureano. The Mets break even on their 2026 payroll, as the money is paid out $5.75 MM in '26 and $2 MM in '27, while adding what appears to be two of their offseason targets. The A's replace Lopez with Sproat while adding a new 2B and bullpen arm.
