Former top prospect Ronny Mauricio will get a chance to start for the Twins, potentially unlocking more of his top prospect ability. Vientos has 125 ops+ potential, but hasn't been able to unlock it with the Mets, Ewing is a borderline top 100 prospect, and Scott, and Sproat are two top pitching prospects that will help with the future of the Twins' rotation. The Mets are getting two ace caliber pitchers, one being a rental, and some bullpen help!

Is this a Deadline deal? Because the Twins have already come out and said the club plans to hold onto trade candidates like Joe Ryan, Byron Buxton and Pablo López as they try to return to contention in 2026. And are looking to restocking their barren bullpen and adding at least one power bat to the lineup as areas of focus.
