Reading that page... The return type is reasonable, but the last prospect would likely have to be Barco not Dotel to get Cleveland to even think about it... Cleveland isn't trading Kwan unless they get exactly what they want and Yorke is eh... He's not a bad player, but doesn't hit or power nor plays a solid defense in CF... Both things Cleveland has to get otherwise they will keep Kwan...
The return is hot garbage and the offer is nothing but castoffs. I'm an advocate of trading Kwan, but the return cannot be in the rears. Clearly a Pirate fan posted this terrible deal.
Kwan is so over-valued by Cleveland fans. Never had an OPS of .800 and doesn’t play a premium position. At their best, he’s equivalent to the LF version of Ke’Bryan Hayes
Actually looking at OPS is wrong with someone like Kwan... His strength is the fact he never strikes out and takes a lot of pitches... His walk rate will increase with the ABS system... He had the most called strikes that weren't in the strike zone for the last three seasons. He's literally the best leadoff guy in the game right now plus that with him being literally one of the best defenders in a single position in baseball... He's an old school hitter, one Ty Cobb would be proud of... Now, Cleveland is going to want a specific return since they don't want to trade him... Don't know why people think Cleveland actually wants to trade him...
Honestly... Hayes has never been the hitter Kwan is.... Not an opinion but a literal fact... The concept of the deal makes sense, ignore BigBat in the deal is not complete trash but Cleveland is only trading Kwan if they get a specific return... This isn't a deal that the notoriously difficult to trade with Cleveland would take...
