I don’t think Rushing is blocked, he’s MLB depth. Just like the Red Sox do not have a surplus of Outfielders. 26 man active rosters carry 2 Catchers and 4 Outfielders. Plus, Dodgers general manager Brandon Gomes indicated during last week's GM Meetings that the team hasn't ruled out giving Rushing some reps in the outfield. Easy decision for both clubs, 👎👎
I think Freddie Freeman is going to get more days off this year so Rushing could also get some games at 1B. But if they don't plan to play him at least 4 times a week they should trade him.
