I agree. The return to STL feels very light. The value and prospect status is very high and eats up most of the return value. However, it's been rumored STL is looking for RHB OF on a prove it deal and without any money being exchanged Castellanos's contract is still $15M salary relief to the Cards. I wonder if STL would include a catcher like Pages if that would help add to the return value 🤷 I'd love to hear your suggestions!
I think Philly would want Pages. SO, looking at the imbalance I think they would need to offer Crawford in the package. The Phillies would sure as hell be committing to Nootbaar then but would check some boxes. STL might feel better about their return, certainly. I don't know how that would skew (or screw) up the deal. I think Philly would go for it. Still not certain STL would want to trade all these players in one deal...rather than split them up and trade 'em
