2Alt. reality scenario where John Fisher makes like Ebenezer Scrooge on Dec. 23... Fisher got a call from his accountants and when they told him how much he's going to being paying his team in 2026 he demanded that his Front Office trade everyone making a million or more on salary. Forst objected and got fired for his troubles so we're trying to make the best of a very bad sitation. The A's can't send cash and they can't take back a 7 figure salary. The A's have 9 players they need to move, and move them quickly. BAH HUMBUG!!!
Cleveland needs RH power and while Rooker fits best at DH he made 27 starts in LF/RF while playing 162 games in 2025. He just turned 31 and will earn $6 MM in 2026. The A's land a potential Top 100 prospect and take another try at catching lightning in the bottle with Rodriguez.
