the SF fan base is too much attached already to Gilbert to suffer a gut punch of trading him away especially under Vitello his old coach. Say, trade mccray or ramos in place of gilbert and its a fair trade that wont reek of stench with the SF brass
That's a tough swap. I don't think McCray is going to be a guy and I agree with what you said elsewhere... Ramos is best served as a DH and I don't know if I want to invest so much trade value into his bat-only profile. How can the A's sweeten the offer to keep Gilbert in the mix?
