2Alt. reality scenario where John Fisher makes like Ebenezer Scrooge on Dec. 23... Fisher got a call from his accountants and when they told him how much he's going to being paying his team in 2026 he demanded that his Front Office trade everyone making a million or more on salary. Forst objected and got fired for his troubles so we're trying to make the best of a very bad sitation. The A's can't send cash and they can't take back a 7 figure salary. The A's have 9 players they need to move, and move them quickly. BAH HUMBUG!!!
Pittsburgh's quest to add offense is well known and the A's send the best backstop bat this side of the Pacific NW. In exchange they get a new starting Catcher in Davis as well as 2 inexpensive SP to fill the holes left by Severino and Springs.
