1“We would like to add some stability to the rotation,” said DePodesta in a phone interview I doubt FA pitchers would want to sign in Col so a trade is most likely the way to go. With the going rate of FA pitchers getting Walker on a 1 yr 10-14M deal seams reasonable and to facilitate the trade they would also get a pitching prospect. Walker is by no means a Top of the Rotation arm, but he is a reliable veteran who takes the ball every day and will eat innings. Phillies would take a flyer on a RP prospect and get some salary relief and roster space to improve team and gain flexibility.
