Is Pages getting phased out in St. Louis? If so, the A's Catching depth is paper thin and they have enough arm talent in the upper minors to address this organizational shortcoming.

I’ve been told that Pages bat and blocking are really bad which is why he is not viewed as a starting option on a good team.
The bat is a problem but I'm not too worried about the blocking. The A's need depth and... well, it makes Langeliers more available.
