The math here is complicated, but we THINK this is what's happening. Plus Arizona is sending non-prospect Jack Martinez back as a token return (he's not in our system).
Note that the reported $26M being sent by the Cards has been adjusted down to $24.6M to reflect the present-day value of the deferred money.
💁🏼♀️ Inexpensive 3B acquisition with Arizona on the hook for only $5MM this season and $6MM next year. Though I feel that It’s a gamble on the bat. 👍 Cardinals simply move on. 👍
