Brewers fan. Power ain't everything chief. In case you havent heard Gabriel Arias and Bryan Rocchio are the Guards middle infielders.
If they ain't got power BigBat don't like you... lol... I think Cleveland is hoping to internally see if someone steps up at 2B/SS before getting a rental cause they have two top 100 prospects in a sense... One at 2B and one at SS due up sometime this season... I can see Hoerner being a target IF Cleveland isn't giving up top 10 in their farm system prospects for him...
….and I would take Arias and Rocchio everyday of the week and twice on Sunday over that banjo hitter. Power isn’t everything but it is the most valuable offensive commodity in MLB. Can’t win in the postseason without it.
Bryan Rocchio career .327 SLG, Gabriel Arias career .356 slg, Nico Hoerner career .384 slg. Put the prospects aside I was wrong on that what do those two provide that Nico doesn't do better?
Talk to me about that when Arias and Rocchio are 28. In 7 yrs he’s never hit more than 10 HR and has been in loaded lineups. He’s a complimentary piece and that’s not what Cleveland needs. If Arias and Rocchio can’t slug .400 or better by then they’ll be low value too.
