Mets are sending their #3 SP prospect who is #81 prospect in baseball as per Baseball America and David Peterson who was an all-star last year. Plus, they are also getting Freddy Peralta from the Brewers in this mock who is a tier below Skubal. I believe those three would immediately slot into the Tigers rotation which falls off a cliff after Skubal. I'm more concerned with Brewers side because I don't think I gave them enough and did like 3 more mocks after this haha
1. Start with the Mets #1 prospect. 2. Peterson is a back of the rotation pitcher, period. 3. The reason the Tigers might move Skubal is because he is a FA after 2026, so is Peralta. Like you said he is below Skubal. Bottom line Tigers are not moving Skubal for an underwhelming package.
