Y'all - Ryan Sloan is not getting traded. He and Anderson are the replacements for Castillo and Kirby and/or Gilbert when they pay Woo. Sloan certainly isn't getting moved for anything short of an immediate impact MLB bat.
Yeah, I've been watching Mariners fans turn thumbs down on trading Sloan for months. The simple truth is, you guys are not competitive at the ALCS level with this lineup. If you're satisfied winning a wildcard round, go forth and stand fast.
No one disputes that - but we're also not trading the 6th ranked RHP prospect for Jordan Freaking Walker or anything short of a major return. You want to talk about a real bat coming to SEA, fine, Sloan is available, but not for Walker, Donovon, or any other former hyped prospect or middling piece.
