3Down vote for the A's. I don't think Waldschmidt will be ready by Opening Day; he's interesting but it's a step back offensively to start 2026. Martinez and Rojas don't make up for the backstep in the line-up. Besides, trading a guy a month after signing him to an extension is going to leave a negative impression on the rest of the roster and future free agents.
Thank you for your enlightening response, which clarifies my suspicion if the As are going for it or not.
Forst is absolutely aiming for +.500 in 2026. Whether he can add the pitching to help make that happen remains to be seen.
