Down vote for the A's. I don't think Waldschmidt will be ready by Opening Day; he's interesting but it's a step back offensively to start 2026. Martinez and Rojas don't make up for the backstep in the line-up. Besides, trading a guy a month after signing him to an extension is going to leave a negative impression on the rest of the roster and future free agents.

Forst is absolutely aiming for +.500 in 2026. Whether he can add the pitching to help make that happen remains to be seen.
