Well now, STL is in the position to really help the Bosox. Take dead weight Hicks off their hands, solve their 2B & backup C issue all for a surplus mid-ro SP, great prospect & an 18 year old kid. Let's see if the new STL Player Development Lab can build some value in Hicks to trade @ the deadline...THAT would be magic!
Getting rid of Hicks would be nice, but not at the expense of Witherspoon. I'd rather just trade Bello and Soto for Donovan and Crooks, and keep Witherspoon. That said, I don't think Bello makes sense for STL, as he's kind of expensive, and they're entering tank mode right now.
