2Up votes for both. Boston saves some cash and clears a pair of 40 man spots while Chicago rolls the dice on a pair of hard throwing arms. Maybe they can flip Hicks at the deadline.
I know Red Sox fans all hope moving some cash & freeing up two spots on the 40 man is a sign of a bigger move to come but I feel as though I’ve been fooled in the past and it’s just another move of tinkering around with the edges of the roster. But I’d be on board with bringing on 3B Suarez & SP Valdez to fill the two vacant spots on the 40 man. 💰 😃
