I don’t think this trade makes sense for the Rays. Deluca is the Rays top option as a 4th outfielder (ie: a RHB to sub for the all left handed starting 3 outfielders and who is the best outfield defender on the team) and after DeLuca the Rays only have serious question marks on the team. Plus, the Rays just filled their last open spot on the team with the Williamson trade (ie: a right handed elite defender to play all infield position, but particularly 2B), making a Mauricio acquisition unnecessary.
