1Palacios is a 1-2 fWAR player who can handle all but SS and C in the field. He brings a solid left-handed bat that probably hits between 100-110 wRC+. I hate to see him go but he’s clearly not in the Rays plans based on their offseason activity. They trade him to the Royals to play 2B or the outfield. In return, the Rays get a high upside but far off pitching prospect.
