Down vote for the A's. They want to be competitive in 2026 and this trade would do the opposite. They just signed Soderstrom to an extension but even if they were willing to dangle him as trade bait they'd only do so for impact pitching... which isn't being offered in this deal. If Boston really wanted/needed to dump Yoshida as part of the deal to acquire Soderstrom then Forst would have the leverage to insist on one of Tolle/Early as part of the deal. At minimum, I'd expect Bello to be included.
