1The Diamondbacks have no first base prospects in their top 30, and their starting 1b is Carlos Santana, who I'm happy to find out is still alive because I haven't heard about him in half a decade. The Rays have so many first basemen they could trade half of them away and still have too many. The Rays can offer Lawler a starting gig at shortstop for the next 2 months with Walls out and Williams needing more AAA PA, and Lawlar either sinks or swims. Two teams swapping interesting but not valuable prospects that are majorly ready and can fill an immediate hole at the big league level. Win/win.
