$5 MM was conditional on a 2027 buyout that might not happen. That and Sonny's K-rate hasn't been Top o' the Rotation worthy.
Reminder that the contract was renegotiated after the trade, so he's owed a $10M buyout on a $30M mutual option. He only needs to clear $20M on his next free agent contract to beat that, so it seems pretty certain he'd decline his side of the mutual.
