This is a late June or early July trade; if the Athletics are still in the playoff hunt, they might as well trade for a young, controllable, and relatively inexpensive starting pitcher for their playoff chase berth . This is assuming that by then Bello will be pitching better.
If Bello is pitching better by early-July then the cost will go up considerably. And if he ain't...
