I really like Buxton a lot but he just can't stay on the field and with the way TB handles injuries he'd never play
I get that, but damn what would a healthy Buxton do for the Rays? Pound for pound, there’s no other upgrade that makes as big a difference in my opinion. Take Yordan Alvarez. He’s also injured a lot, he can’t play DH for the Rays because of Yandy and I’m not sure putting him in LF is viable because that would push noodle arm Simpson to CF or RF. Great bat but the fit just isn’t there for the Rays. Buxton though replaces the worst player on the team (Mullins) in an easy peazy 1:1 swap. I also think the Rays are ruining Williams’ development and he will soon be headed to Mead/Brujan territory. I’d like to see him traded before that happens.
Oh he'd be great to get, the guy should have been on a HOF path if it weren't for the injuries, didn't he say something over the offseason that he'll refuse to play for any other team but the twins too?
Twins are rebuilding. Can’t see why he’d want to stay with them while they rebuild if he’s not going to be there afterward.
