Martinez cannot hit RHP like Moniak, but that doesn't matter because Moniak would be replacing Kwan who is going to be dealt either at this year's deadline or in the offseason. Add in Winn and this is a no-brainer for Cleveland. You're drivel about "Kwan has put himself into a leader spot in the clubhouse" is ridiculous. So has JRam, Bailey, Hoskins and Hedges. The Guardians would be better off capitalizing on the value Kwan has left and they should have dealt him last offseason when they could have had a much bigger return. Don's say I didn't tell you because I repeated it constantly.
First off, moving Kwan in season, will effect the chemistry of the team... No ifs ands or buts about it, so IF Kwan is dealt, they will have to really make sure the return is legit.... When it comes to Winn... He is needed... When it comes to Moniak... Cleveland had a legit chance to already acquire him and they didn't... He is not a target for Cleveland... He broke into the league at 22... He is 28 now... He has a career 1.3 bWAR... His splits do not support him being worth acquiring and now he is injured... Now, if you told me a guy like Cole Carrigg is in the deal, yes I am taking it, but not for Moniak plus Winn... Carrigg at worst is a right handed Schneemann type... that plus Winn, is a longer term win... Kwan is only being dealt if they feel they can internally replace him...
