DH most games and can play some corner outfield or 1st Base. You are going with Genoa over Rocchio or Bazzana? If not, where else do you play Genoa?
Guardians aren't moving Genoa for a C who would have to move positions. Good problem to have if there are 3 good MIFers but could see Bazz shift to LF if Angel and Rocchio are the MIF of the future. Or Angel is a trade piece for an actual roster solution.
Cleveland is infamous for switching players positions. Pretty sure Goodman has experience playing 1st base and the corner outfield positions.
That's true but they're not trading a top-100 SS prospect for a corner IF/OF bat when they have a plethora of internal options. If they didn't make the Bailey trade, maybe this would have worked, but not anymore
Angel is an OF... He has not even touched the dirt this season during a game...
I was referring to Genoa...not Martinez. Apologies for the confusion. Meaning if Genoa and Rocc are the MIF combo of the future, that could portend a Bazz OF move. That's more likely than trading Genoa for a C that moves to 1B/cOF
