I would be good with this trade, I think Suarez is under appreciated I wouldn't be surprised seeing him end up in a rotation and pitching in that stadium would definitely help him too
I don’t know how the Rays would fit Ramos into the team when DeLuca returns. Ramos would also be just a 300-350 PA 4th/5th platoon outfielder for the Rays, and I wouldn’t give up a potential SP for him.
They can't realistically count on DeLuca anymore, the guy has been more hurt than healthy and even healthy he hasn't done much at all, Ramos is coming off back to back 20 HR seasons so he may get a power uptick coming to TB plus he's cheap with a lot of control, TB only targets platoon type players anyhow, they could have signed Bonds in his prime and they'd still have Sean Rodriguez hit for him against a LHP lol
Deluca will be a tough call this offseason because of the injury history. It’s no coincidence the Rays’ skid started around the time Deluca went on IL. He’s really good in the field, far better than Ramos who is below average in the field, and his bat is only a little less than Ramos. In short, Deluca is better than Ramos but his injury history is a problem.
