They have to bundle players to get sufficient value. What hitter do the RS trade for? The RS are going to have get up something value to get a good hitter.
On the hitting side I think they trade IKF. Keep everyone else. Sign Jazz Chisholm to play 3B in the off season. The RH hitting Durbin & LH hitting Mayer are the platoon tandem at 2B. Story is the SS again in ‘27 (while they wait on Arias). Contreras returns at 1B. Outfield remains at 4 with Duran, Rafaela, Abreu & Anthony all returning with Romy Gonzalez & Yoshida on the bench along with Navarez & Wong as the returning Catchers. And there is the core of your ‘27 roster for what I think will be a strike shortened season that doesn’t start until July. I also think Sonny Gray & Chapman will both be kept and back on the pitching side for ‘27.
