Interesting. Where is this rumor coming from? Also, I could see either Nori or Escobar headlining this, but not both. Reds would need to add a decent bullpen arm with some control or something else. Or swap out Nori/Escobar for a lesser prospect.
Looking at it in the light of day without bourbon, it looks to be someone's wet dream that got posted to a blog.
Hahaha. I'm sure there will be a lot of that over the next month + but also can see the Phils being in on Singer and Steer.
Singer has turned it around in June. Pitching much better. BTV excess value doesn't reflect that yet, but if he keeps it up, he'll be pretty valuable at the deadline. Steer is solid and versatile, if unspectacular. Finalist for gold glove at 1b last year, and can play competent 2b, 3b, LF, RF. Not a guy you build a team around, but a quality complementary player.
