I like the trade too. Goodman has 3.5 years of control and he hits well away from Coors Field, so home and away splits aren’t a problem. I have “soured” on Hopkins quite a bit but there’s no denying his stuff is electric if he can improve his control a bit. , I’m also a lot higher on Pitre than I was a year ago. It’s a fair trade with plenty of upside for the Rockies and it fills a perennial hole on the Rays roster.
I want Emerson over Lackey though.
