Schubart's on-base streak and power power flashy, but he's still K'ing in 33% of his PAs in Hi-A. Gomez is a bit more expendable given the uncertainty on his role. I could see this making sense for both sides.
With Gomez just being added this offseason then traded for a rental while Schubart fits a need within Cleveland's organization though he is a very risky prospect so if we feel we can win it all by making this move, I could see it... Aka i am on the fence...
I tend to think "on the fence" means pretty fair from both sides. Including Gomez would also give you the requisite 40-man slot, though maybe they have some guys they consider "fodder" more than I assume
