If you throw a few more dollars in the trade you can Overn too, another Rays prospect who is having a great year. Rays say no to the trade. Ty Johnson is worth a helluva lot more than his value on BTV because he's being valued like a reliever and he's dominating the minors as a SP. Bodine is one of the two best catching prospects the Rays might have ever had (the other being Flewelling) and will hopefully fix the Rays' perennial hole at catcher. He should be on a No Trade List. Pitre is probably available, but I suspect at a higher valuation. Very few prospects hit AA and dominate like he has.
Yeah you can probably blame that on Pipeline. Was snooping around their prospect list looking for a pitcher to add to this trade and I really liked his stats and Fastball/Slider grades. I also saw that he was Rule 5 eligible at the end of the year
Ty’s the Rays best pitching prospect and will likely be added to the active roster at year end to shore up the Rays Pen (which is a disaster) for the playoffs.
You know what's funny? Lesko has a higher value, 4 than Johnson at 3 lol
I knew that but hadn’t really realized it. All I can say is “What the Fuck?” What rag still views Lesko as a viable prospect, let alone a better prospect than T.Johnson. BTV should promptly remove their rankings from their calculations of trade value.
