Dajuba, my friend, are assuming that any RS GM would have the courage to make this trade. The RS would be waving the White flag by this move. You know that fact. The trade idea itself doesn't make sense because the RS could always get a slightly better deal in a bidding war.
Red Sox could have been picking at #20 & #31 today, if they did, a different approach leading up to the deadline then most would expect for sure (especially given their current streak). Would have given them 3 weeks to explore the Whitlock could be the Closer theory.
