Down vote for the A's. Wells and ERC are a good start but Kent and Lagrange are on the IL. I think Lalane as the 2nd arm would be ideal from the A's perspective.
So why no upvote for the Yankees? I don't get that line of thinking of just downvoting when the frame work is there. Everyone here always has such a quick trigger to downvote lol. Kent will be back soon, and for LaGrange sure, injury doesn't help, but obviously still very talented. LaLane could work, but he is still far away. I think the A's would want someone closer to major league ready.
The article that mentions NYY's potential interest in Langeliers says that they want to add a RH compliment to Wells, suggesting that he wouldn't be part of the return.
I almost always down vote when a large chunk of the return is on the IL. Call it bad luck or training staff incompetence or whatever but when the A's acquire hurt talent it tends to stay hurt. ERC is the close-to-ready pitching that would/could entice the A's and Wells is an immediate Langeliers replacement. Lalane offers enough ceiling to push this over the top for the A's while also being just far enough away (not to mention a probable innings cap for 2026) that the Yankees can't pencil him in for this year.
