I couldn't post the initial trade to the board because it was so "imbalanced." The original thought was that the Reds could take the upside of Butler while doing a "bad contract for bad contract" trade with Hayes. And the actual return for the A's would be a young controllable starter in Petty or Lowder.
It looks like Petty is going to be a bullpen arm but honestly, the higher ceiling play is Butler bouncing back in '27 and right-sizing his contract.
