Don’t see any need or reason to trade from the Major League Roster & 💰 for a suspect. Easy pass.
Frankly, I think you and several other RS fans that I have discussed this backup first baseman idea, are being blind to the obvious need. 2025 Romy+Casas+Dom Smith+Nathanie Lowell were at about a replacement player level. Only Lowe had a positive WAR. 2026 Romy+Sogard +Monasterio+Gasper are slightly better fielders, but mediocre hitters. This RS need is obvious.
Tibbs was already a Red Sock. They traded Devers for him and others. Then he was traded for Dustin may. I doubt the Red Sox value him.
