Down vote for the A's. Pepiot is too injured and not enough service time.
Down vote for the Rays. Average at the plate and in the field. Rays would send Bolte to AAA if he was on the team today.
According to baseball savant, he runs faster than Chandler Simpson, and has better bat speed than Yandy Diaz. Plays centerfield acceptably, is 22 years old. His ceiling is what Josh Lowe's was. Importantly for me, he's right-handed, because we need a right-handed outfielder.
But he's not an improvement on Vilade or Deluca today. Maybe he's a nice piece to have for tomorrow, but I don't see the point of trading for him today (and Rays always platoon RHB on the weak side of the platoon unless they hit like Randy or JC, and Bolte doesn't, so he's just an expensive 4th outfielder for the Rays at best).
How about Hopkins straight up?
An 8.58 BB/9 is a No for me.
