I agree, but this satisfies a ton of Boston's needs in one fell swoop. Stability in the middle infield (Bogey), multiple RH bats, young stars (Tatis, Miller) and a veteran presence. This all being done while only having to deal from surplus. Miller has 3.5 years left. Chapman has the team option for next year, but if you can flip him and still have an elite bullpen, I don't see why you skip out on this move.
