Rays FO aren’t believers in the team and move a couple of pieces they don’t see a future for and acquire someone they do. And they let the playoff race chips fall where they will. This would be thievery at its very best by the Rays. And with the A.L. as weak as it is the Rays probably still make the playoffs.
This is nonsense. Absolute nonsense. The Rays have the best record in the AL and such a deep Farm that they realistically need to trade 3-4 players at a minimum before Rule 5 to avoid losing them for nothing. The Rays have also played C.Simpson almost every day all season, choosing to let him bat against his weakside split which they rarely do for any player. If he's not a player they believe in and see a future with, then I don't know who is.
