I can see that however that’s why I add Brazoban in the trade as well with 3 years of control. You argue the offensive upside of Alvarez as a top 5 offensive catcher in the sport already at the age of 24 with 3 1/2 years of control. With evaluations I can argue Alvarez should be valued higher and with Peralta probably has been slightly unlucky and also would do better elsewhere which I think is why this trade is fair. If both sides hate it makes it a good deal.
