Fair enough. My thought was if Cleveland doesn't have room on their 40 for him, figured they would rather get something back for him over losing him in the R5 draft. If they're going to add him to the 40 then yeah no trade to be had here. I guess he would take Hedges spot if he has a good spring.
Cleveland doesn't have much of a 40 man crunch this winter... They are going to start the offseason with 5 open spots and Huff, Campbell, Chourio... Then Franklin Gomez... then? They have a ton of AAAA arms and an utility man, who is power over hit with solid defense in Tolentino... They made add Lively to start the offseason as well, but he is on a MiLB deal with incentives and a likely opt out. I don't see those guys get snagged in the Rule 5 in real life. That is their Rule 5 eligible this offseason. They actually need to acquire MIF depth that can hit... Now when it comes to the arm... I don't see him having enough potential, in my mind, to merit moving Huff for him... He's on the smaller side and doesn't have plus command/heavy strike thrower, so not a high probability of MLB success...
