The Angels r in a larger market, they aren't really ever looking for a "full reuild". We traded our #2 SP. That's it. The Giants can't afford a Devers that doesn't outperform his contract, if the controversy out works Devers' performance, they will cut losses before the losses grow. right now they have to pay about $50 million to make him trade-worthy. The Angels have an owner who's willing to pay $20 million for Devers and another $80 for a couple "top of the line" SP. in a low talent AL WEST, the Angels r in a quick TURN-AROUND window with an already young core of talent to build around. Devers is a perfect option with 3-4 years of raw power still left in him. the Giants don't care to market him if there's not enough jersey sales; ticket sales will come with guys like Eldridge.
