Lol. Why would the Rays trade for Yorke? Even with this trade the Rays still have a very crowded infield. 2B just isn’t a need for the Rays.

It isn’t so much about the Yorke return, it’s the Ruiz return. Tampa can now use Yorke and move him for a pitcher. Too bad we can’t do four team deals here, seeing that it’s exactly what I would display.

Rays already have a long list of infield prospects they need to move because of Rule 5 and their 40 man crunch. Trading for someone just to flip him makes no sense, especially when the Rays prospects being traded are the cream of the crop of of Rays’ prospects. Most won’t be traded.
