My initial idea was to not involve Corbin at all and for the Mariners to send the Nationals Noelvi Marte, but the simulator labeled that trade unrealistic (even though the value for each team was pretty much even). I gotta believe the Nats would much rather keep Corbin and get Marte than this version, which would be a heist for the Mariners. The Dodgers might not have the stomach to give up both Lux and May, but it is Juan Soto we're talking about. Plus Matt Brash is a nice May replacement with some additional club control and more recent health.

Love this trade. It would be so fun to have a deadline blockbuster deal like this one.
