Andrus may be better than what the Rays have but I can't see them taking on his remaining salary for what he brings to the table, especially if there is any chance his 23 option vests (which I don't know). If his 23 option has vested, there is no way the Rays would be interested in him.

550 PA in 2022 is the benchmark to the option vesting. He's got 297, so 253 PA remaining.

So definitely not then. Rays don’t want to be the team that sits a player just to keep him from earning a bonus (or in this case having his option vest).
