LAD won't make this trade.

Saw reports they're trying to trim payroll (lol). Price is really the only place they can cut outside of Bauer, so have to think of this as a trade+opening payroll room for a Kimbrel type

They will try to stay under 250M is my guess. Right now that's about 285m?? so Bauer would do it. Probably shed some P/R at deadline -- Price, maybe Pollock. If Pollock is slumping and other young OFs are solid. Cartaya is not a prospect you trade yet.

per this LA Times article (https://www.latimes.com/sports/dodgers/story/2022-03-20/dodgers-kenley-jansen-explains-why-signed-atlanta-braves) its more about staying underneath the 290 threshold. I don't think Pollock is moveable because the outfield depth is pretty thin. Outside of Lux (and then only kind of), none of the bench or the MLB-ready prospects can play the outfield. Regardless, if Pollocks plays anything like last year he's well worth it and shouldn't be moved. I generally agree Cartaya isn't the kind of prospect you move, especially not for good but not world-class returns; but I couldn't seem to make the trade work with an amalgam of lower prospects.
