1Unrealistic, I know, least of all Stanton has the no trade, but it was just an idea of a hard reset for the Yankees. In return they get a left handed DH to replace Stanton but who can at least play the field without falling apart, plus a shorstop to carry them until the end of the season, when they inevitably sign one of the big free agents with the money they free up. But what's in it for the Rockies? With NY paying down $10m a year of Stantons deal, plus taking on the $40m they owe Blackmon, it leaves it being "only" an $80m extra investment, spread over 6 years, meanwhile Gleyber probably looks pretty great again playing at Coors where the balls fly out like the juiced balls he loved. Plus, more to the point, Stanton at Coors would be a hell of a lot of fun! Just to reiterate, yes I know this would never happen. The Yankees are stuck with Stanton and his contract forever
