Given recent comments made by Twins POBO Derek Falvey about teams being less willing to trade players at AA or above and being more willing to trade guys in A ball I focused most of the trade on getting 4 players at that level. Baz is obviously the headliner in the deal so he gets included even though he is at AAA right now. I know the Twins were interested in McKay in the draft before ultimately landing on Royce Lewis so they may entertain replacing Baz and Honeywell with McKay and a different prospect like Ryan/Goss instead if McKay's medicals check out. They may end up rejecting that in lieu of a better offer from another team though if Baz isn't included.

What's the point of proposing a trade that has the Rays trading 5 pitchers? That will never ever ever ever ever ever ever happen. To be honest, I don't think the Rays are going to trade for a pitcher. There are so few out there that fit the Rays needs - expiring contract and dominant. Scherzer fits but the Rays aren't signing him to an extension. Berrios is good, but I don't think the Rays will give up $40M in trade value for him. Who else is there? I've suggested guys like Duffy, Cobb, and Gibson for the Rays, and I guess I could see one of them being acquired because they're cheap, but Berrios most likely ain't happening. Certainly not at $40M.
